Charissa Thompson
Thompson has left FOX Sports and began hosting on behalf of Versus Sports and Yahoo Sports. She hosted Versus' NHL studio coverage and recorded web videos for the highly trafficked Yahoo platform. She also led Yahoo Sports' presence at major sporting events like those of the 2010 Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl XLV and the BCS National Championship. Her success in these two arenas led her to get a job with ESPN as one of its hosts in the new afternoon program called "Numbers Never Lie" beginning in August of 2011. She was also a member of the "SportsNation" organization in July 2012. It was extremely popular, which she continued to host until May 2013, in which time she returned in Los Angeles to launch FS1. An avid sports enthusiast, Thompson has also shown that she has the ability to seamlessly cross into the entertainment world of TV. Following a string of temporary opportunities and promotions, she was appointed an ongoing co-host of the late-night edition of Hollywood newsmagazine "Extra," in June 2014. As a co-host the magazine, she also filmed in Universal Studios as well as hosted award shows as well as celebrity gatherings on a regular basis.
