Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actor from Sweden. She was in a number of movies, including European and American. Her most renowned role was in the drama comedy film "La Dolce Vita". It won an Oscar and a Golden Palm at the Cannes Film Festival in 1960, as well as highly acclaimed and critically acclaimed. Prior to her first acting gig, the Swedish-born actress worked as a fashion model for international magazines. She was crowned in the Miss Sweden competition. She moved to the US after which she started appearing in films playing small roles. She played the Venusian Guard in the film 'Abbott and Costello's Journey to Mars. It was her first credit role. In the same year she won the Golden Globe in the category of 'Most Outstanding Newcomer' for her character in 'Blood Alley. Her career included many films which included the War between Italy and America, as well as the drama film War and Peace, the Western 'Valerie,' the British crime thriller The Man Inside and the Italian/French drama The Dam on the Yellow River.' In 2015, she passed away aged an 83 year old.
